Patios ☀️, Sunglasses 🕶️, ACTION!!!🎬 – Summer is calling!!
Can you believe that we are only 20 days away from Summer? Yup, just under 3 weeks away from the season of sunshine, late nights, and FUN! Bloor West Village has been offering us glimpses of the warm season since May, with a few days going over the 20°C-mark. Indeed, one of the best examples of such days is our Jane’s Walk event. On May 4th, we embarked on an enriching walking tour facilitated by Alex Rascanu, David Hollands, and Angela Macdonald. Community members joined this 1.5-hour walk and discovered the unique offerings of the village and the rich story behind everything that makes Bloor West Village the place to be. And you guessed it, we soaked in all the knowledge, all while soaking the sunshine on this 21°C-day and enjoying the beauty of the village on that day. ☀️
Now, as we enter the beautiful month of June, we notice the shift from the subtle switches of Spring, to the bolder changes of the upcoming season. From the temperatures to the decor and views, to activities, the village is fully embracing the warm season, . And oh, are we here for it! 1. Patios are open!!
Summer preparations are in full swing in Bloor West Village. And along came the long awaited opening of patios around the village. Indeed, from charming garden settings, to the busy urban cafés along Bloor St W, you’re sure to find a patio spot for everyone. Why not make the most of the sunshine and warmth this season offers? A quick coffee break, or some well-deserved happy hour cocktails, explore the various outdoor spaces around the village.
2. Explore the eye-catching streets of Bloor West Village!
Have you noticed? Splashes of colour can be noticed all around the village this time around – Flamboyant bouquets peaking out of a tote bag, grocery bags filled with vibrant seasonal fruits, 0r colourful displays of the same along Bloor St W. Bloor West Village’s radiance and picturesqueness really come through in warmer seasons. Why not come experience it? Come visit our charming village this June and Summer season…get some shopping done (Have you found your Father’s Day gift yet?), grab some food, and well, snap a photo, or two…or more!

Get Movin’ N’ Groovin’ BWV! Kick-off to Summer!
On Sunday, June 23, 2024, join us for a full day of FUN! Kicking off Summer the right way, Get Movin’ N’ Groovin’ BWV, is a combination of health, fitness and fun! Live fitness classes, interactive craft and adventure activities, an exciting fam-jam session, a bike obstacle course, costumed characters and a vendor expo – prepare for a day of sharing, creating memories, and taking part in a variety of enjoyable activities!
